This trapper hat is constructed from a plush, deep-plum mohair fabric. Rich, soft, and dimensional. The surface has a natural, slightly shaggy pile that shifts in the light, giving the piece a sculptural, almost creature-like presence. Every panel, seam, and curve is intentionally visible, turning the architecture of the hat into part of the design language.
Design & Construction
Built on a classic trapper silhouette but reinterpreted by experimenting with texture. The short structured brim adds definition while the extended ear flaps drop cleanly along the face for a strong, elongated profile. When worn down, it becomes cocoon-like and protective; when tied up, it transforms into a more compact cap shape with the signature top-knot bow adding a subtle craft detail.
The seams are intentionally pronounced and raised - highlighting the handmade construction rather than hiding it. The tactile softness of the mohair contrasts beautifully with the structured patterning, giving the piece both warmth and attitude.
Color
A deep plum tone. Somewhere between wine, fig, and oxblood - serving as both a statement and a neutral. It pairs effortlessly with deep earth tones

Inside is fully lined in a soft tonal fabric for comfort and warmth.
